Immediately following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Capital Group has publicly supported the war making a show of its solidarity with the Russian government. On March 16 2022 it obliged all of its employees in Moscow to come to the pro-war rally which took place at the Luzhniki stadium and was personally attended by Vladimir Putin. The management of Capital Group arranged for the transportation of participants from the company’s offices and assembled lists of ‘loyal’ employees who attended the event.
Attached are screenshots of an email titled ‘March 18 – concert on the Day of Crimea’s reunion with Russia – MANDATORY PARTICIPATION!!!’, which was sent to the staff and a screenshot from the staff list with brief personal information about Andrey Shmelev, a company official, who sent the message.
